So you are ready for you first beginner drone, but you are confused with the options?

Well, I am here to help.

The first thing you need to consider is your budget. There are quadcopters that range in price from 50 $ to 3000 $. If you are a beginner, you might want to start small. That way if you crash it is no big deal.

The UDI U818A 2.4GHz 4 CH 6 Axis Gyro RC Quadcopter with Camera is a good choice for the first timer. If you want to get some flight hours under your belt before getting a better one. The UDI has a decent integrated camera, and it is for sale at around 60 – 80 USD. Keep in mind that this is a toy camera drone, and not the most durable.

The Parrot AR drone 2.0 is the next choice. A bit more expensive and has a better camera. It is a small drone, that you can fly both indoors and outdoors. Lots of fun for a beginner, and you can control it with your smartphone, which is easy for the first timer. It will set you back around 300 $.

If you have a good budget, and not afraid of potentially crashing and losing 500+ $ then the best choice is by far the DJI Phantom 2  or the newly released. DJI Phantom 3. The DJI Phantom 3 is one of the best selling drones 2016, and delivers great quality at a still reasonable price. You can get great videos and photos with this quadcopter.

Many like to  mount their GoPro cameras on to the quadcopters, it really gives you great video and photos. The best GoPro drones at the moment are the Blade QX3 and the DJI Phantom 2.

The reason for this is their stability and safety, and you can mount gimbals on them to get really smooth video and awesome photos.
